Early childhood development is critically important. Along with experienced teachers and staff, Little Saints Academy helps facilitate this key period of learning. And that’s what separates us from traditional child care facilities. From the time your child wakes up until the time he or she goes to sleep at night, they are continually learning and growing. At Little Saints Academy, our curriculum creates opportunities for your child to learn, even while he or she is playing. Some of the best learning happens without your child knowing it!
Our curriculum is designed to help your child develop social, emotional, self-help, and physical development skills. Communication skills are a vital portion of the curriculum as children expand their vocabularies and assign meaning to new experiences. We encourage your child to examine, create, and share as s/he broadens his/her language through interactions with his/her teachers and classmates in a safe, nurturing environment.
We recognize that honesty and thoughtfulness are critical qualities in the development of well-rounded individuals. Values are reinforced throughout daily activities. People skills are emphasized in our curriculum.
| Your child will be encouraged to join in dramatic play activities, such as pretending to shop at the grocery store or acting out stories. We believe it’s important to introduce children to a wide variety of character traits. Each month, a value, such as honesty or responsibility, is introduced to your child throughout the program activities. Your child might sing a song about responsibility while being encouraged to help clean up after lunch. With our family style dining, your child enjoys nutritious lunches and snacks that are served each day to ensure that each child enjoys a well-balanced diet. We believe when children and teachers eat together, they do more than share food. They share knowledge. They learn from each other. We like to think of it as the next best thing to sitting around the dinner table at your home. |

| While there are varying views about why music and movement activates are so pivotal in early education, there is growing consensus that music education affects children's development across an array of domains. From the children's perspective, they are simply having fun and enjoying learning. From the schools administrator's perspective, music improves test scores and prepares children for school success. From the musician's view, early childhood music education increases musical aptitude. From the parents' vantage point, children are getting what they need as well as what they want from music education. And . . . if music's good for the children, then it's good for us all. |
